MOHAMMED HAMMAD

Mohammed Hammad graduated from the Faculty of Arts, Helwan University, Cairo. He is member of Egyptian Film Critics Association and on the selection committee of Cairo International Film Festival and Independent Cairo Film Festival. Hammad writes, directs and produces. His works include: 'Mirsal Al Maraseel', a short fiction film, 2003 (script writer), an award winning film for best screen in Cairo TV festival, 'The Fifth Pound', a short fiction film, 2005, (script writer & producer), and 'Central (Call Center)' a short fiction film, 2006, (script writer, producer and director).

The film is about an ordinary girl who works in a call center, situated in a local district. To kill time she starts eavesdropping on customers' calls, her neighbors from the same district, during which many secrets are exposed.
